  Black flame&apos;s protection basically turns ng+7 into ng+3 and it&apos;s probably the single thing (along with dragoncrest greatshield) that keeps slower builds that want to trade as viable in high ng.<br> All that for only 5 extra faith from golden vow.<br> If you even remotely care about how much poise you have then BFP is better than howl or FGMS in every way, if you already &quot;got gud&quot; then howl is probably it, but requires 8 extra faith.

  before watching, I&apos;m guessing it&apos;s because all the best utility spells and weapon buffs are faith. Or because we&apos;re all in the Order cult and don&apos;t know it, idk

  Because: A- Lots of fckn utility besides just damage.<br>And B: it&apos;s just cool. I mean the Sorceries are all just mostly blue, dark blue, and purple, with occasional white (ghostflame) and rare red here and there. Meanwhile incantations shine with all shades of rainbow😂. And if I remember correctly, there&apos;s just more of them overall, they received more love. Miracles and Pyromancies from the previous games got merged into incantations, therefore their class is just more vast and diverse.

  I like the detailed comparison using the damage on the Erdtree Avatar. I knew about it, but it&apos;s nice to see the numbers without having to do it myself.<br><br>A tiny suggestion for future comparisons though. By removing 24 points of intelligence and upping Dexterity by 7 points you also influenced the scaling of the weapon. Personally I think you should have taken the points out of Vigor or Endurance for the purposes of comparison. Those don&apos;t affect your weapon scaling at all, so the after respec situation has the same scaling stats as before.

  I level faith specifically to kill royal revenants with healing spells. Buffs are just a bonus.

  Its simple, We are all slaves to the Golden Order and we need the buffs and the utility spells also the casting tools are very light some dont even weight at all...Thats why Int casters lose because some staves weight the same as a straigth sword. wish elden ring instead of staves they gave out gloves so Int doesnt felt more intune with faith and more like a counter part to it.<br>But yeah, Incantations are way more powerful than Sorceries . Theres literally an incantaion that only takes 2 FP to cast. Bestial vitality hard carries your exploration in dungeons enhancing your survivability without making you waste flasks, Black FLames Protection gives you insane resistances(Coupling with a good armor and Dragoncrest talisman thing that would deal half your health in damage will only deal like 15 percent or less) The only thing that Sorceries has on utility is a light spell that illuminates better than a torch. And terra magica which boosts your magic damage if you stay in the circle. I find sorceries very lacky compared to Incantations. The strongest spells are easily dodgeable(The AoE spells kick ass on PvP thou)<br>if you re going for NG non challenge and to just play the game these are all good spells to have on the toolbelt if you are going for Pvp eh it aint gonna help much peeps will just melt you with status proccing anyways(bleed, madness, Sleep and etc)

  Faith is the best. Quite simple.
