  omg so thrilling! i tried years ago to get people on reddit to see the eye in the grandma tree and was always met with endless downvotes and pareidolia accusations. i always said some day someone else would find it.  fun fact: the branches are designed so that the eye will follow you around if you move back and forth while walking through the village!

  Honestly, one of my favorite things about it, is the added lore to Marika. Like one of the first things she seemingly did, post ascension to godhood, was to preserve her hometown. Kinda humanizing.

  the twin thing with roderika is even more interesting when you factor in she had Aurelia the jellyfish,who we later find is a twinned child spirit.

  I always had this strange fascination with Dominula and how it just seemed to stick out among the several other strange locales in Altas Plateau. And hey, I learned something new today about the significance of Windmills and Pinwheels. Never would’ve imagined they could be tied to spirits. Same for the small history lesson on the Yoni symbol of Hindu - fascinating stuff. Plus it’s been bugging me for the longest time about why a Godskin Noble was in said village of all places; never would’ve thought to examine the robes of the maidens to see the shape of a serpent and drawing that conclusion. Plus it’s neat to have a better understanding of why festive grease acts as it does. Just another piece of the beautiful puzzle that is Elden Ring.

  The tree in the shaman village also looks like a hand. The eye would be in the palm of that hand, making me think of Hyetta the blind Maiden, who we hand eyeballs to

  to further the snake iconography and cultural representation of them-<br>All known empyreans go through phases of shedding parts of themselves, and seemingly the same parts, their physical self, their spiritual self, their past, and their legacy. four pillars which are often represented in the quatrefoil motif seen throughout the lands between and in the elden ring itself- <br>-the DLC follows mikela&apos;s journey of parts he shed.<br>- Ranni sheds her faith(instead following the dark moon),her physical body, her mentor (her past), and her followers (legacy - you might be able to insinuate that she even orchestrated their deaths) before ascending to godhood<br>- Malenia is in the process of shedding her physical body, she sheds her mentor and faith by embracing the rot instead of fighting it, and has shed her legacy by condemning her followers to rot.<br>-Marika shed her past - the shamans, her faith by rejecting the crucible and embracing the greater will, her physical form by becoming radagon, and her legacy, her children (most notably messmer and melina)<br><br>and in shedding they rebirth themselves into godhood.

  I&apos;m a huge fan of the Botanical side of the lore in ER. Malenia blooming, Trina regrowing trying to survive, people merged in trees at Enir Elim, Godrick grafting people on himself, weapons at the Roundtable turning into wood, Milicent and her sister being buds... I&apos;m a huge fan of this theory of yours

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMeRLE_bYkA&amp;t=1960">32:40</a> I agree with the motif of braids relating to strands of grace being woven. In Norse mythology the Norns sit at the foot of the world tree and weave fate. The location of the grandmother at the foot of the tree in Shaman village, with Marika’s braid helps bring the idea full circle
