  As a non-pilot I&apos;m shocked that anyone understands anything that&apos;s said in any of those radio frequencies ever. It seems like it&apos;s a job requirement for pilots and tower controllers to speak in the equivalent of a doctor&apos;s handwriting, and then they add white noise as an added challenge 😓

  I think Victor&apos;s first mistake was purchasing the PA-32. Back in 1990, I had about 65 hours, &nbsp;mostly in a Beechcraft Skipper. I lived in Cincinnati and had a business meeting in Chicago. The flight would be from Lunken to Palwaukee and return. &nbsp;The flight back was all night flying. I had two hours of night, VFR, flying time. &nbsp;I decided to rent a Cherokee Six. By chance, I ran into my instructor and asked him if he wanted to ride along with me. &nbsp;Thank God he said yes. &nbsp;The Cherokee Six was a totally different animal. &nbsp;It may as well have been a fighter jet. &nbsp;Without my instructor, I wouldn&apos;t be here to type this. &nbsp;I feel sorry for Victor&apos;s family. &nbsp;RIP. &nbsp;May God bless them all. &nbsp;🙏 ✝️

  I&apos;m sure fatigue played a major role after such a long day. the other factor was &nbsp;incorrect verbiage. Had he said he was unfamiliar with the area and wanted &quot;vectors to final&quot;, the controller would have guided him to line up with the runway at the right altitude and made sure he had the runway before handing him to the tower the first time around. &nbsp;To all pilots out there, if you start to fall behind the airplane or if things start to get out of hands, please let the controller know as soon as possible by confessing in plain English, they are humans just like you. The other advice I would give is that if you have enough money to buy airplane, do not buy it until you have your instrument rating. I would even go as far as to say get your instrument rating before flying your family around.

  Yeah, after you showed how the airport looks at night, Victor should&apos;ve waited until morning to make his flight. That&apos;s double since he had his family with him.
