  &quot;writers&quot; today don&apos;t believe in heroes. They mock the idea of heroes. They loathe existing heroes and work to bring them down to <i>their</i> level. And, above all, they <i>hate</i> those of us who believe in those heroes.

  Adam can trip over a sword. He-Man shouldn&apos;t.<br><br>The transformation is the payoff, not the setup. Even comedies know this: Megumin plays the Destroyer fight straight, and Jack Sparrow stops joking when Will is dying.<br><br>Some moments outrank the joke. He-Man is one of them.

  They aren&apos;t really jokes, they are gaslighted malice and cruelty. Like a Freudian slip of their internal thoughts or preferences.

  The moment they said the movie was about toxic masculinity it was over. Hollywood knows what it takes for them to make successful movies, they are well aware but they are unable to let go of their ideology even when the public has outright rejected it time and time again. The silver lining is that it will end eventually because they will run out of money.

  Too many people call and consider anything sincere cringe. That mindset does not create good art unless it&apos;s purely comedic in nature and even then it needs to have some substance underneath. It just creates empty forgettable works
