  It’s in Kira’s character to talk to himself, so it makes sense that that’s how his true character gets revealed. Every single time he was talking to a hand he was talking to himself.

  I always thought that Kira talked out loud because he lived alone with his ghost dad so when he had to impersonate hayato’s dad he just slipped up.

  Realistically, Kira was invincible during this arc. He only lost because of mistakes he made.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sy6gnTtfLEI&amp;t=94">1:34</a><br>Maybe since Kira had lived alone as a serial killer for so long, he monologues out loud to himself both as a bit of a coping mechanism for isolation and because he never really had to deal with anyone overhearing him so it was just habitual
