I'm Christian, but every time I listen to these types of songs I want to be welcomed into my ancestors arms in Valhalla once I perish. Sounds dark, but that's how I am.

Although I am Greek, this music makes me want to fight for Valhalla.

My family is 98% pure Scandanavian. My great grandpa told me something when I was very young. He looked right in my eyes and said, "Your last name does not belong to you. It belongs to our family who has gone before us! Do NOT disgrace them! You will not be welcomed into our fathers hall when your time comes! Make them proud so you are welcomed with thundering roars!"

That man was a WWII veteran who landed on Omaha beach as a medic without a weapon. He ran through MG-42 machine gun fire to drag the wounded to safety. He was hit 6 times but continued to run back into harms way to save others. He saved over 12 men that day. He was awarded 3 purple hearts, 2 bronze stars for bravery, and a silver star for valor.

Maybe its just my family or how I was taught and raised but I can think of no greater reward than hearing that roar of approval from my ancestors.

I'm Kemetic Pagan. But I still have respect for the Norse Gods and their lore. And to my Norse Pagan brothers and sisters. You're not alone in Paganism! Remember this! Ra and Odin bless the Pagan Community!! 🙏

I have Scandinavian DNA, one part of my ancestry begins there. I am a nobody from nowhere, wandering the planet, trying to find where I fit in. I listen to this music and see my ancestors calling me home, that they forgive me for any imagined weaknesses. This music takes me away from the now, and into a different realm. Keep up the good work 👍🇦🇺

The old gods never left. They have always been there, and they know those who believe in them. Glory to Odin, Allfather. Thor, great thunderer. Tyr, lord of justice and the sky. Eir, goddess of healing. Skadi, mistress of the mountains. We have not forgotten you.

Hail to the Æsir and Vanir!
