I've been into Rush for over 40 years, and even so, every so often, I'm still gobsmacked by just how ridiculously good they are.

Every Rush album is a gift but Permanent Waves is the gift that keeps on giving.

Neil with the weather report. Amazing. “The shifting shafts of shining weave the fabric of their dreams”. Who comes up with that? Genius.

Such an underrated song. One of the best in their catalog.

Rick Beato also interviewed Alex one on one, as well as Terry Brown, the producer of their first nine albums. 😊

I was in Central America, a teenager at the time. We were driving down this mountain with some friends, just after a hard tropical storm. We were high as a kite and listening to this song. <br>"All at once, <br>The clouds are parted <br>Light streams down <br>In bright unbroken beams". <br>A few beams of light broke through the clouds....exactly as that part of the song came on. We were all just in awe, speechless. The most amazing musical experience. I will never forget it. Thank you Rush.

Rick Beato has been trying for years and years to interview any member of Rush. That he got Geddy and Alex (and then Terry Brown their first producer) in one visit was a jackpot for Rick.
