Something i dont see folks talk about enough is how Andor treats the droids as people. B2 and K2 are family. Thank you for mentioning it.

Just to bring two threads together… the whole “the empire would never stand for this” about the SA scene, and the scene where the Ghorman are trying to sell Syril “Things are happening that the emperor doesn’t know about”.

The Tsar is good and he loves us, it’s these darn land captains.

When you edited Luthen saying “I burn my life for a sunrise I’ll never see” with the fireworks from Return of the Jedi. Genius!

Even with what Gilroy said I do not read Andor as a predestined chosen one. I read it more as the force will choose to work with those who connect to their heart and fight for that connection. Not as an exclusive prophesy, but a reality open to everyone.

Watching Andor last week gave me the energy to attend and mobilise for a protest against deportation deaths

Just want to say that I appreciate the critique surrounding the writing of Bix’s trauma and Cintas end as sharp, and not inaccurate and I really appreciate that you didn’t hold a grudge in your reviewing the duration of the show. Quality analysis throughout. thank you

The Narkina 5 prison uniforms clearly the direct inspiration for the Rebel Alliance orange flight suits....that gave me chills.

Totally unimportant comment but "the texture of Jabba is something I need to discover" is my new favorite celebrity quote

I love how this show mostly avoids the prequel problem by introducing and exploring characters we don't know. That way, we are suprised by the outcome despite knowing where the general story is going.

Syril is one of my fav characters, i think he’s a very well written portrayal of the average fascist cog. He’s so horrible and miserable- i don’t think we ever see him smile in the show- and he’s also hilariously pathetic at times.

Luthen's turning point from imperial soldier to rebel being the genocide of Kleya's people makes his willingness to stir up Ghorman into the same violence so chilling. The start of his journey parallels Syril's end. We don't need Syril to change his ways to show that it's possible. All the people who mourn how he COULD have grown into a decent person had Luthen right there the whole time showing someone who did.
