  In High School I delivered laundry in Portland Oregon to Fred Meyer. Id go the back door and through the kitchen. Once while delivering I ran into him in the kitchen and he invited me to share his lunch. I was 17 and he must have been  ninety. We talked about Alaska which we both had been. The thing I remember most about him was his kindness to a young nobody and the how he took the time.

  Hey Scott if you're sick or have stuff to do to your van or something when you're in Crescent City feel free to come by for a room on me. I own a motel here in town and would be happy to have you stay if you ever need a room for any reason! I'm across from the fairgrounds next to Starbucks.  Just come on by and tell the front desk John said StaticCamperVan can come on by anytime and my front desk girls will take care of you!

  I live in a sticks and bricks home without trash service, and don't buy trash bags. I reuse the bags things come in, especially if they have ziplocks. The bag your bread came in is a good example, or even the chip bag. That way I'm not adding even more plastic to our landfills.

  When we moved to Oregon (91); we used to go to Harris Beach. It was great &amp; the kids loved it.

  Fred Meyer was originally a general store established in the 1920s in Portland OR. Its individual character took a nosedive when the family sold out to Kroger. ❤ Love your channel.
