Oh you are in for a TREAT with this one. DG is one of the best comedies of the 2020s so far and I don’t think I could even pick a favorite character

Since this show is set in the mid 1990’s, that 375 quid for the school trip would be much more today, approximately in the range of 800.

There will never be enough hype around Derry Girls for me! It’s just so hilarious and yet somehow wholesome?

Derry comes from the original Irish name. After England occupied Ireland in the early 1600’s, King James changed the name to Londonderry. Residents who are usually of English heritage and usually of the Protestant faith use the name Londonderry and residents who usually are of Irish heritage and usually of the Catholic faith use the name Derry.

Derry Girls is so good. As a Scottish person the humour and craic/way they talk is so similar, I love it. Every character is pure gold but I think Sister Michael is my favourite. And the soundtrack is outstanding.

when watching the show, look at Orla in the background of every scene. she's always doing something absurd and it's hilarious!!
