  Excellent production. I’ve watched dozens of DIY videos and yours aligned the most with how I imagined the methods of doing a similar DIY build. By the way, the cold roof/warm roof episode was also very informative.

  This is absolutely excellent information, I am about to start construction of my own project and your videos are by far the best and most comprehensive I have seen on YouTube. &nbsp;<br>One thing I was told by a builder - in using a nail gun - be careful to have your hand well back from the front of the gun. &nbsp;The temptation is to hold the joist close to the joint when nailing, which is what he pulled me up on. &nbsp;Apparently sometimes the nail can bend in the wood - hitting a hard knot for example - and the point can come through the wood into your hand. &nbsp;He showed me the scar in his palm where that had happened!<br>Also, I’d like to say that your video work is excellent. I really appreciate the thinking you put into camera positioning so that I get a really clear view of how you’re working. &nbsp;It must take extra time to consider this while you are doing the work, it is very much appreciated!<br>Looking forward to working through your other videos, thanks again for being such a giving member of the YouTube community.

  I like what you&apos;ve done with the firings all others that use them put one on every joist, your way is very obvious yet missed by many causing more work and never looks right when finished yours does look right and is a simple solution and only needing to cut 4 is less stressful and means if they end up a mm out to each other it won&apos;t be noticed. Most people don&apos;t own a plunge saw so will cut firings freehand with a circular saw.
