We're Michael & Dora, a husband and wife woodworking duo. After a sizeable house restoration we found ourselves with a workshop full of tools, a lovely house and not much furniture. This is how Makers Manual started, from a need for furniture! With a background in product design and a knowledge of woodworking, we started to research making our own furniture. What we found was the inspiration to start this channel! We realised we could make furniture, that was the equivalent of high-end furniture for a fraction of the cost, just by doing it ourselves! If that isn’t enough, then equally important, we could customize the furniture to suit our home and have the sense of pride in making it ourselves. Also, we confess, we enjoy woodworking and the idea of having an excuse to make our own furniture was very appealing.
