  Makes me laugh how the cons would get told off for not having their buttons done up. Now, in 2024, the landings are smelling of spice and crack. How far its standards have dropped since 1970

  Remember my dad doing 18 months in Wandsworth, would have been 70/71 I think. Strange seeing what he would have lived through. Once a month visits, taking him his bit of Old Holborn. He worked in the kitchens, so when he came home his speciality was spam fritters 🤣

  For some reference of money purposes, £15 in 1954 is just over £510 per week.<br>£2000 a month.<br>Rent for 2 bedroom flat (not house with garden) is £1250 without a single bill.<br>Council tax on top of £200 -that’s £1450 gone without even eating a bit of toast!!<br>So picture that! You’ve given away 3/4 of your wages and you haven’t bought ANYTHING yet.<br><br>Would that reporter even survive a year like that?<br>THE UK IS A CORRUPT CESSPIT.

  Most screws are knackers. Didn&apos;t make it in the army so they chose another uniform.<br>The brutality still exists today, although they are more accountable for their actions.<br>When I was in the shovel, I treated each screw as I would people on the outside. <br>I remember my first day, a screw said; &quot;You call me sir!&quot; <br>I replied; &quot;I don&apos;t think so mate, I&apos;m no longer a soldier, and if you think you <br>have earned my respect that quickly, you are off your gort. <br>For that stand against so called authority, I was in the block for three Days.<br>They realised, I would not change my stance, so put me on the fours.<br>The petty ridiculous, even churlish way they get revenge will never change.<br>You go to prison to be reformed. The law says that if at the end of your sentence<br>you are not a reformed character, you can be kept in the shovel until they say you are.<br>Can you imagine how many prisons they would have to build, if that rule was adhered to?<br>If you don&apos;t want to end up in stir, don&apos;t do the crime, or don&apos;t get caught. <br>And by the way, everyone is innocent...
