  Times have changed and not for the better. In those days I cycled from Stoke Newington to Kings Cross via the Angel, it was shift work and I did the journey at all times of the day and night. The sad truth is I would never do the same today.

  My father looks just like them, especially Johnny. He told me that his massive hands and thumbs comes from the Nash family. My grandmother used to visit London to see them. She said she went with The krays to the ice cream van to buy all the kids ice-cream, her stories always sounded like good times. Thanks for the video, I would have liked to have met them.

  My late dad was a close mate of the brothers,especially Jimmy Trunky Nash. He did alot "work" for them. Never spoke about it and i only found out after he died. Supposedly fought travellers for big money and other less desirable "work". We came from Hendon NW4.

  Very well narrated. <br>I have a little story I could add.<br>I must point out that I was a relatively &apos;innocent&apos; young man in the mid 80&apos;s, working as the manager of a printing factory. Through various dealings, I got to know very well the owner of a minicab firm (his initials were JD). I knew he had moved in underworld circles but I was really fond of him. He looked and sounded like the archetypal villain but that&apos;s not how I saw him.<br>One day he walked into my office and introduced a bunch of guys who were involved in a venture (legal I might add) and wanted some printing done. The principal in this business was a young guy (similar age to me) initials FW. The others were BW, MB &amp; Jimmy Nash. At that time, I knew nothing of Jimmy&apos;s past but I got to know him quite well for a time. I learned quite a bit about his past but I never probed too deep. I still believe you &apos;take as you find&apos;. And I have to say, based on what I found, Jimmy was an absolute gentleman and seemed to have a sense of justice &amp; right and wrong which, I know, will sound a ludicrous thing to say. But East End rights and wrongs always had blurred edges. Eventually the business venture, which was really just FW outgrew us and is now worldwide. I lost touch with them all but they were certainly interesting days.

  My late father went out with their sister, it&apos;s only when he took her home, his dad said later, &quot;you know that she&apos;s Tony Nashs daughter&quot; needless to say, the relationship didn&apos;t last very long.
