  I was driving drugs from Mexico to the U.S.  I had been suffering from active addiction for years.  I got caught and taken into custody at the border.  When I was chained to the bench I felt scared and strangely relieved and at peace.  After a month and a half I was released to a treatment program and was given an opportunity to change my life and work to get my charges dismissed in a court program for veterans which by the grace of God I completed 18 months after being released.  This is just one instance of grace and mercy that God showed me.  If life was fair I would either be dead or in prison but thanks to God’s grace I am free and have been clean from all drugs for 3 years and 8 months and I get to help others who are going through the struggles I went through with addiction.

  I surrender my life to Jesus. So many bad things that haunt me daily. I asked to be saved and fight it daily.

  Lost my mother to cancer last Monday before this Easter Sunday. It's been difficult to grieve, but I'm still walking with Him nevertheless. Please pray for us, our family. She was 51, and we never got to bring her back here in the States ever since I came back in 2016 due to deportation. At least she isn't in pain, and with our Lord as a fellow believer herself. Thank you.

  I am here because I want to find hope for a brighter future. Life hasn't been a good experience in the past or even in the present really, so maybe in the future it will be.
