  My ex wife was very controlling. She used foul language toward me, yelled at me, told me “I wear the pants in this marriage, if you don’t like it, you can leave” so I divorced her, because I deserved better. Having no voice in a marriage, toxic, control, is abuse. I’m so much better now, I’ve made huge mistakes in my previous marriage. I have a godly woman now, who loves me, helps me, and by gods grace, I’m better. I no longer have to walk on egg shells every day, or have to ask to see my family.

  This message was pointed directly to me and what I'm dealing with. Passivity has rolled into anger, and it just built up inside. It's been hard to deal with because I feel like I've let my wife down. I've become complacent, and I haven't been leading my household the way that I should be. I pray the Lord takes this anger I've had, and I step up as a husband. My wife doesn't deserve a complacent husband. Thank you for this message. This got me all fired up to step back up and lead my household.

  My ex did that to me control and neglect me big time!! I will never go back to him. I don't need that in a relationship. I want it healthy not toxic.

  Wow !! Only 0.55 seconds in and you already explained what kind of toxic household I grew up in. I was raised by a Jezebel and Ahab but this is the way that God chose to bring me here .
