I was in tears out of happiness when Sachin made it possible for India to play finals.... Such an emotional match...didn't expect him to perform so well at the final but he was awesome.... He was given out twice n both were bad decisions

After this series Ponting said Sachin is the best batsman he has ever seen. Warne said sachin is the best batsman followed by lightyear.

I have watched this game highlights probably thousand times. But still sachin hitting that six with Tony greig commenting what a six gives me goosebumps. Wonderful memory. Thanks for bringing it back.

Legendary player, legendary innings. Brought back old memories. Watched this match and the finals back then Live on the T.V. Sachin was the only player in the sporting world of India, who evoked so many emotions. If Sachin got out, we used to switch off our T.V. with utter disappointment. Sachin gave so much hope that after his winning knocks we used to feel we can achieve anything. One true idol

Sachin is indeed the greatest there will ever be. It’s not about the records; it’s about the feeling. He will always remain the ultimate cricketer, no matter who comes after.

As the great Brian Lara said, “If you talk to me about cricket, I would talk about Sachin.”

Because back then, cricket was Sachin. Sachin was cricket. He was cricket for most of us.
