  Everytime I read or watch something about all Israeli wars, I just feel amazed with Israel, how a very small country can beat so many countries again and again and again, miracle is with Israel

  It is hilarious to see Israel's enemies attack Israel, and then see them cry when those attacking nations get completely crushed in combat. Afterwards, they then complain and play the victim to a conflict THEY STARTED. It never gets old.

  Served in IAF in the late 70s early 80s (not a pilot).  The pilots were among the bravest, most capable and best trained men I have ever met.  I would not want to be an enemy pilot facing them.

  A few years earlier, the F 4 Phantoms were "Missile only" fighters: The US military thought guns were unnecessary. After time against the Migs in Vietnam, they refitted all the F4s with the M61 Vulcan cannon. It was a game changer in the Yom Kipper war for the Israeli pilots.

  The Israelis are very highly motivated people, because history has taught them what to expect if they fail to defend themselves. I've had the pleasure of working in Israel on a few occasions and know it to be a wonderful country with brilliant people and long may it remain so.

  After the Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty we (U.S.A) began joint training exercises with and in Egypt.  I was part of the one in 1981. They were still flying MiGs so being Air Force we were curious about the capabilities, how easy or difficult it is to operate etc. They chose a major who was one of the initial  Egyptian pilots the Soviets trained.  His briefing started like this:  After months of right seat training the senior student pilot said to the lead instructor “You taught us how to take off, how to attack ground targets, how to bomb, targets, how to use missels for air to air combat, how to use the cannons but you haven’t taught us how to land.” The instructor replied “Don’t worry the Israelis will take care of that for you.”

  There has never been a fighter jet as beautiful as the Phantom and there never will be. A work of art. A mighty machine, a combination of power, strength and beauty.

  I was Marine Air from &apos;75 to &apos;79. We did the first cruise on the Nimitz in &apos;76 during the height of the Cold War. Our F-4J pilots could pinpoint bomb (close air support) better than even the A-7&apos;s and A-6&apos;s (purpose built attack aircraft) These guy&apos;s (VMFA-333 and VF-74) were the best of the best. <br>Even back then, we understood that the Israeli&apos;s were another level.<br>Stay strong, Israel!! <br>Damn! I miss the Phantom 😥
