  i usually just lurk instead of commenting, but as someone who is severely anxious i love your videos. it means a lot to me that you don’t scream/yell in your videos or talk down to the viewers. a lot of poketubers make my anxiety worse when watching because they yell and the videos are too fast-paced, but you and check the box are so much fun to watch and super chill. i know it’s a small thing but it means a lot to a lot of people that you make videos that are accessible. thank you :p

  Man I feel so understood and warm watching your videos. I don’t how to put it but it’s comforting feeling, almost healing. Outside of my family I didn’t really got to share my hobby with people I remember even feeling ashamed about liking Pokémon well into my Teens and that feeling still lingers somewhere deep when I engage with Pokémon but it’s my comfort. <br>But I have such beautiful memories with my brothers and mom opening packs and sharing the excitement it was a little family thing. Now 25 years later we’re all again engaging in the hobby and even go to shows together me being 30, my mom being 54 and my brother too well into their 20‘s. Its beautiful. I vividly remember going to the dentist for the first time and my mom rewarding me for my bravery with a fossil booster pack and me wanting the zapdos which I pulled in that pack. ❤<br><br>Thank you from Germany for rekindling those memories and emotions!

  “Chill, boring dude” lol man I’m just sitting here listening and enjoying being nostalgic!<br>You talked about opening jungle around your birthday and it immediately took me back to getting a pack of base set for my birthday from my best friend. <br>It had charizard on the packaging and wouldn’t you know it… I pulled the base set charizard! I kept saying to him “how did you know?! How did you know?!” Like I thought somehow he gave me that pack on purpose😭<br>Flash forward to last week when 30th released and I got one knockout box from my dad from Pokemon center… went to his house… opened the first pack… and there lo and behold… was the 30th charizard… I was dumbfounded… tears welled up in my eyes that 30 years ago I was opening packs in that very same childhood home and pulling the same looking charizard… it just gave me that feeling of being a kid again.<br>I’m glad I get to share these memories with my kids and grateful that you offered us this space to share them here (not to mention that you said you read every comment so it doesn’t feel like I’m sharing into the void…)<br>Thanks for all you do, and I hope you continuing ripping packs well into the 60th anniversary 😂

  Your pokemon videos are very calming. My absolute favorite pokemon content creator to watch and I get excited whenever you upload new videos. I&apos;m autistic and have adhd. I prefer peace and quietness. I myself, have been a huge fan of Pokémon since the 90s. My first game was Silver which my mom got me at Walmart. Then my dad bought my Blue at Fry&apos;s Electronics. I remember I would leave my atomic clear purple Game Boy Color on at night to listen to Goldenrod City to sleep. Ran out of so many batteries. Got into Pokémon cards during the same time. All my cards got stolen by older kids on the schoolbus and the same happened with my Yu Gi Oh cards. Love your videos man. Keep it up.

  One of my absolute favorite memories of early Pokémon was begging my mom to take me to see Mewtwo Strikes Back in theaters, and her finally giving in. But because she was freshly postpartum, she fell asleep as soon as the lights dimmed and snored through the whole movie. I remember being torn between “This is SO COOL!” and “Mom, please wake up. Everyone is staring.” <br><br>I also remember after I cut my foot and needed stitches, my parents wanted to reward me for handling the whole thing like a champ. They asked me what I wanted, and I said one of the gold cards from Burger King. I got the Charizard that day, and was so excited. <br><br>So glad to be making memories like this and sharing Pokémon with my daughter now.

  I was also 8-9 years old when base set first came out. My dad was a smoker back then and I remember always going to the 7/11 near us. He would always make sure to buy my brother and I a pack whenever he went to go buy his cigs. That’s my memory of pokemon as a kid ❤️

  Awesome video! I graduated high school in 98 and didn&apos;t really get into any pokemon till I downloaded Pokemon go in 2018ish to give me something to do with my eldest kid on the way to the bus. We started collecting more this year with pitch black. My kid asked me to take him to a card show and now we go to a card show or two a month. It&apos;s a great experience bonding with my boys 16 and 8. Love your chill style. New favorite pokemon youtuber💯🎉

It&apos;s always a joy to be here, feels cozy. <br>My first engagement with pokemon was a surprise birthday gift when I was a wee lass - a nintendo ds with a copy of diamond. I chose turtwig, trained him and only him up to giga levels, and got lost in Mt. Coronet. I think my first tcg opening was around 2015 maybe? But didn&apos;t really get into it until the past year or so.

  Wow. Just hearing your stories took me back Lou! I can vividly remember begging my parents for cards and getting a singular pack. <br><br>Biggest thing for me was the gameboys and getting my own copy of Red. What a joy those days were! It’s fun reliving them a bit through my 30’s now too

  I was 15 when Pokemon first came out, so not much &quot;kid&quot; left in me, but it brought me back to those younger days....playing the games and trading to get all 151...and then when the TCG started I became a coach in my local Pokemon League and spent a lot of time mentoring young trainers and giving out lots of promo cards!
