The smoothest, richest, purest, clearest most angelic voice of all time and she was a fabulous drummer too!

Also her breath control is amazing. She regularly sings 2 verses in one breath without getting thin, quiet or out of breath at all. Stunning

Frank Sinatra, once said, Karen Carpenter was the ONLY person, he would pay to go see perform, ... That is high praise indeed.

No autotune, no pitch correct - just pure voice

I am 66 years old, and began listening to the Carpenters when I was about 11 or 12. Karen is the greatest female vocalist that I've ever heard. And today, if anyone asks who my favorite female singer is, without hesitation, I say Karen Carpenter.

Pitch perfect. Perfect pitch. Pure perfection. The untouchable, incomparable Karen Carpenter. IMHO, the greatest female vocalist of all time. One of the rare voices that could tear your heart out while soothing your soul at the same time. I truly wish she could have found happiness, love and the life she really wanted. When she died, a little bit of light and joy left this world. We miss you Karen. RIP.
