Finally someone else who likes MGS2 more than MGS3. I thought I was the only one.

I remember as a child, I beat OG MGS2 on extreme. This was before the internet and had no idea about the big boss trophy. As a child that was absolutely the most stressful play through of any game I've ever played. Vamp boss fight game me nightmares lmao

Bro I’m proud of you 😊
I am at the Metal Gear Ray boss fight, at first I thought trying this run would be stupid and mentally unnecessary, but I got the plat for MGS1, 2 on ps3 and vita, 3 ps3, vita and ps5, mgs4, mgs pw, and last year MGSTPP, so I felt like why not plat this one too?

MGS2 plat was terrible hard and such a nightmare on PS3, but no, I can’t help it, I just felt I had to, this have been my favorite franchise since 1999, I grew up playing them, became a man, traveled to wonderful places listening to the soundtrack, lived in Japan for 1 year and even visited Tokyo Game Show when MGS3 Delta was shown, same place where every Metal Gear trailer was shown, this game was my reason to learn english and japanese, met David Hayter in 2023, he even CQCed me, so I DO FEEL YOU, besides this game was the first one I had on PS2, that time I couldn’t understand english so one of my brothers who was studying english was the translator, reminds me of many memories.

You are a true patriot dude, I hope I can say the same soon.

By the way, I still have few trophies remaining to get the platinum, what so you say, should I get them first so the platinum pop up screenshot keeps my Big Boss rank screen or not? I’m not sure if I can resist the temptation of finishing this soon 😂 it’s some extra stress added to my life right now 😂

Have the PS3 and Vita plats. Not sure if I have it in me to do Big Boss rank for the PS4 and PS5 versions. Who knows. Maybe at some point. Just spent the majority of my gaming time over the last 3 months getting those 2 plats. Thought I had another Veteran run required on The Vita, because the last 2 trophies did not pop. Started playing again, and was getting handled by Olga, until I synced and checked on PSNProfiles, and saw I had both plats. On to the next game.

Congrats on Big Boss rank. You're the real deal for that one. Anybody that has played this on extreme, knows how difficult this is.

I absolutely love and hate this game, I went for the plat last year and everything was going smoothly till the big boss run 😭 I spent an egregious amount of hours, trials and errors. I finally finally managed to beat mgs2 big boss run but somehow someway I messed up and continued from somewhere. I was devastated for two days I didn't have the energy or mental stamina to figure out where. I must put in 60-70+ hrs in the big boss run itself. Tell this day it haunts me, I will eventually go back and get it. This vid inspired me. Man I'm pretty sure I did everything flawless but that continues I don't know where it happened. Great vid
