Fantastic presentation of the genius of Chris Ware Danny, I love his work as well as R Crumbs, and yours ranks Third in my Top Three (: I own all your books, a couple of Chris Wares and a couple of R. Crumbs, along with his music CD. Thanks Danny. Also love that you started this series with Hannah Hinchmann too, showing her mad respect (: Tim M.

I took my first “comic book art” commission piece in my 25 year career two months ago. I assumed it was easy, therefore I bid it low. I’m quite certain I earned three dollars per hour once it was complete and delivered. I have a massive new respect for the genre of art now-!! Fascinating artist and book you shared. Thank you!

I really appreciate these Sketchbook Club videos. Introduces us to many different artists and also helps to reaffirm our own practice. I have tracked down and added to my collection through these videos. Thank you!

As much as the thought terrifies me, i would want someone as thoughtful, empathetic and insightful as you to go through my sketchbooks one day. Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable video :)

Very cool analysis on Chris Ware's comics and sketchbooks! I also love how you described art (especially comics) being lonely (most creative pursuits seem to be though). Although nowadays, social media does a lot to lessen this.

I find your channel inspiring and relatable.. I agree with some artist being and looking detached... I'm one of them coz I prefer alone than socializing.. I do have a healthy mind though. 😊😁

When you turn pages from the deep inside position that Danny is doing here with his left thumb, you can easily dent the page. In fact, it's easier to see when Danny opens the big book, (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7O2G9ADulU&t=280">4:40</a>) that the pages are already dented. I remember bringing home a modern art book and my temporary roommate, Joe, was flipping through it like this, and those pages were normal book paper, not the sturdier stuff these are. The guy put a dent in every single page of the whole book, which I had just brought home. When I told him what he was doing, he sneered at me. My book. Joe is long gone, but I have another artist friend who does the same damn thing. I never have him over. We meet elsewhere...

Incredible how someone who could draw anything in any style could be so full of self doubt.
