Affairs require consent, and Punpun was visibly distressed and only caved after being pressured. He&apos;s a victim of sexual assault, Child Sexual Assault victim to be exact, so the term &quot;affair&quot; isn&apos;t correct here.

  Punpun is like Bojack since both are stories that are depressing with how real they get and also horrific with how both the main characters go from relatable to utterly irredeemable monsters over the course of the story. And both gave me depression

  Its so unfortunate that Aiko and PunPun had to meet.<br><br>Aiko held PunPun in such high regard after they were separated when they were young, not knowing that he was slowly shaped into a monster in that time. She built him up to be her savior from her mom one day that when it finally happened, she was so thankful that she dismissed all the warnings that he was so much worse until it was too late.

  I remember the thing that devastated me when I first read this was how when Midori and yuichi first got together, Midori was the most stable and kindest thing in punpuns life. That&apos;s why he was always around her, because out of all the adults in his life, she was the safest and most calm. <br><br>Then yuichi went on a bender, and in her despair she committed the worst act of her life to a child. An action that, I believe, permanently set punpuns fate in stone.

  It&apos;s a good series to point to for people who don&apos;t really understand how toxic relationships can end up. Punpun and Aiko, two hopeful youths with growing troubles, become broken adults and were absolutely NOT what the other needed at that point. <br>But because both wanted that same feeling they had in their optimistic youths, they ended up being in an absolute trainwreck of an ending climax. Aiko really needed someone who was stable to save her, Punpun needed someone to ground him and be his guide rails, it was like watching a car crash in slow motion the moment they met each other again.

  I have read all of Berserk. Berserk is often considered one of the darkest stories, but I genuinely think it&apos;s less dark than this becasue it also shows the beautiful side of the world and humanity. Punpun just shows us what happens when you only focus on the dark parts of your mind.

  To me, Punpun’s god is very reminiscent of generational trauma. Being passed from the uncle to Punpun to Punpun’s daughter. That trauma will always trickle down. Dear god dear god tinkle hoy.
