  When I was a teacher, and I tried to teach some teens what their legal rights in the workplace are, I collected experiences of illegal workplace practices from people I knew so I could share them with the class. I got about a dozen examples, and almost all of them had worked for a small business, often as the only employee. The unhinged things small business owners try get away with or justify by their &quot;oppressed entrepreneur&quot;-identity is wild.

  As someone living I South Africa, and being part of the &quot;middle class&quot;, i can see how fascism can play out even in South Africa. It scares the crap out of me. My late grandfather fought in WWII, and he avoid to talk about what he experienced. (But I do remember the utter disdain he had for the National Party, as well as the Conservative Party). It was only in my late teens I came to understand that he hated all forms of &quot;strong men&quot; government. &nbsp;At the moment the USA has all the unholy ingredients of fascism: Rampart inequality, far right and big business all nicely tied together nicely in one bundle: The US government. And i fear the USA, as it is now, &nbsp;is going to result in world wide war. Maybe not a conventional warfare, but instead using fanatics as proxies to prevent the decline (or the appearance) of the USA as a world power. &nbsp;And all of us will be in caught in the crossfire. I&apos;ve met a few Americans in my life at church, and they, like most of us, do not deserve any of this.

  There was a man local to me who owned a family grocery store and recorded himself at Jan 6th on Facebook. He went to trial and his business closed.
