The problem isn't that AI is actually "taking" your job. The problem is that people are still getting fired on this premise, and the people who remain are being told to "use AI". Because companies believe the con (they want to, because the con being sold is cheaper than humans, when the reality isn't), they move ahead and fire people and expect AI to fill the gap.

Most executives are way more incompetent than you would want to believe. The ones I met with didn’t even know how our company worked internally. So trying to convince them of anything took so much explaining. They almost have to be sociopaths to work in the way they do, and make awful decisions about peoples’ lives.
