  I live in Edinburgh and do not have gas.<br><br>During the winter, I pay on average £10.50 A DAY for one radiator (in my bedroom), and two towel rails (kitchen and bathroom), plus low energy led lights that I switch off religiously, a fridge, cooking, and the washing machine I run maybe once a fortnight. I don’t use the dishwasher.<br>I don’t heat the sitting room because each extra radiator costs another £4.50 a day (it would take three to four as it’s a large room).<br>The second bedroom is not heated.<br>I made my main bedroom into a bedsit so it’s the only room I need to heat.<br>I feel lucky that I have one warm room.<br>That is the U.K. today.

  I&apos;ve lived in the UK for 10 years. My girlfriend and I are moving back to Poland next year. We&apos;re very depressed in the UK. I think you have to be born here and never leave to survive. What the eye doesn&apos;t see, the heart doesn&apos;t regret.

  I left the UK over 20 years ago and have lived mostly in East Asia and SEA. Whenever I have to go back to the UK I just can&apos;t wait to leave again. It&apos;s so much better in Asia.

  I am a Canadian who keeps on coming back to China. &nbsp;Generally healthy family oriented people. Minimal drug or homeless issues. Outstanding infrastructure with loads of new subway and train lines built across the country every year. Low cost restaurants, taxis, internet and all functioning efficiently. Streets are clean and plenty of things to do. A lot of beautiful and friendly people.No nonsense here, but a lot of common sense.Really happy living in China.

  haha need to wait for 2weeks for them to pick up and clean the bin for a service that cost 233 pounds per month .... thats crazy

  I studied in the UK 10 years ago, it used to be very nice now its rather shocking, the costs, the safety, the infrastructure from what I hear through friends
