I think you're missing one undeniable perk: physical media can't be delisted. It's the main reason why I started buying cds again after 20 years.

Physical media cannot be de-listed, altered, edited, censored. or otherwise modern-dayed.

Walking into a secondhand music shop and walking out with something you didn't expect to find, feels great.

I have many, many CDs that contain music not available on streaming services.

When Albums/Songs started to disappear from Spotify I was so pissed off that I canceled and revived my CD and mp3 collection.<br>Fck them. I rather own my music.

I never stopped buying CD's....always enjoyed deep diving all the songs on a disc...then ripping the ones I like to my computer or making a greatest songs disc...//

My 23 year old daughter discovered my cd collection and decided to get into cds. Her collection is now probably 5 times what Ive ever had. Its been so much fun watching her fall in love with all kinds of music!

The thing about LP/CD is that you often disover tracks that don't work the first time, that grow on you through repeated listening. Sometimes my favorite track is not a single at all. Buying one track skips this accidental discovery process.
