They are British. Jeff is a genius and ELO is full of real musicians. Their best song by far in my opinion. Your in depth analysis is what makes a reaction good. You actually know music not only the performance but the composition as well. That is so refreshing there's very few others who do this. Thank you for sharing.👍

I recommend the full Concerto for a Rainy day which begins with a thunderstorm and ends with Mr Bluesky. Its not just 4 songs, its an experience.

In a recent interview, Jeff Lynne of ELO said that if he could re-record all of his songs using 21st century studio technology, Mr Blue Sky is the only one that he wouldn't change in any way whatsoever.

I saw them in concert last year. They had 17 musicians including 2 or 3 guitars, 4 keyboards, bass guitar, drums, violin, 2 cellos, they had 4 backup singers but others were singing also so generally around 10 voices. It was really amazing.

I always get the sense that it’s about new baby being born - that before the baby was born life was grey. Especially the line, “Hey you with the pretty face, welcome to the human race”, and “It’s the day we’ve waited for”. It’s my take.
