Alyssa I've been watching you for years. We have totally different styles and body types, but you've taught me that that really doesn't matter because you've given me a fresh perspective on how to put outfits together. However, the thing I really wanted to say today is please don't ever ever ever lose your perspective and acknowledgment of privilege. I think it's so refreshing and healthy and so rare to see in the YouTube and fashion communities. You're SO down to earth and have a full-on tether to reality -- and that is honestly what keeps me coming back!!!! (Also...adoro che sei anche italiana come me, ma...sono italiana-americana. Brava!)

Alyssa, may I suggest you try packing your blazers and jackets turned inside-out? Place one sleeve inside the other. Smooth out the collar and shoulder pads. When you unpack, the creases will be facing inward, be barely noticeable, and the warmth of your body will eliminate the creases very soon. The last time I packed three blazers like this, they arrived perfectly. Love your style!! Keep those wardrobe capsules coming.

I’m just coming back from a 3 week trip to Spain with just a carry on and a small backpack. Because we had cool mornings and evenings, and quite warm afternoons, it was all about wearing layers! What I used the most was a lightweight cashmere cardigan that I could wear with everything, and a lightweight cashmere scarf for warmth, and to add some colour. I wish I had packed a blazer, and will next time! I wore a denim jacket which looked good but sometimes I wanted something sharper. And I’m glad I packed a rain coat and umbrella! I took a pair of sneakers, loafers and sandals and that worked for the varying temperature and to give my feet a change! Noticed lots of women were wearing ankle booties, and that would have been a good alternative for my loafers. One pair of jeans, one pair black trousers, one nice blouse, one tank dress, one black casual pant and then some easy tops to wear and wash along the way. A few scarves, some jewellery and I was always dressed appropriately and comfortably! I used to pack way too much but travelling with a carry on is so much easier! Great video, tips and inspiration! Thanks and enjoy your trip!

Packing for cold weather as someone who’s plus sized is so hard! Not only is everything thicker, but just bigger all around. Sometimes I watch packing videos and when I see them fold their clothes into the tiniest little squares I’m just like “okay yeah that never gonna happen with my clothes 😂”

I will be really interested to know if you were happy with your final choice of items, any regrets, etc, Alyssa. I watched Christina pack her items, too. You both packed very neutral tones, and I can see the worth in that decision. Safe travels, I know it's for work, but I hope you guys have a ball together ❤️

Would love a follow up that includes what you wore on the plane and the outfit combos during your trip. Also, can you kindly add links to your carry on and backpack. ❤️🙏🏻My tip is to use a dry cleaner bag for the blazer. Doesn’t take any room and prevents wrinkles.

As a runner, I’m happy to see someone finally showing exercise gear and a bathing suit! Having access to a laundry facility is key to minimalist packing for long trips.

You hear so much about the 5-4-3-2-1 method, but I think the 333 or "grid" / "Sudoku" method is easier and more realistic for me. Glad to see someone share & put into action.

I also travel with a carryon Away bag. Since shoes take up so much room, I’ve found that putting each shoe separately in a shower cap (the cheap ones you get at hotels), it makes it easy to squeeze them in wherever there is a bit of room. I even fill the shoes with socks or small items. I enjoy your videos!

I find the weight of a carry on for Europe to be a challenge. Light weight carry on luggage starts at about 8 lbs before putting anything in it. 17 lb limit for flights.

The last time I did an “all nighter packing,” effort the day before traveling I was disappointed because it wore me out, didn’t optimize my choices, and yielded a “tired me,” traveling the next day thinking I had overpacked unsatisfying outfits. I vowed then and there, “never again.” My next big trip is in roughly 90 days. Yes, 3 months away. And already the pre-planning and diligent curation efforts have paid off. I can take pictures of each outfit knowing they all fit, don’t need alteration, and, best of all, I can accessorize each outfit with care. Videos like yours help tremendously with this process and with making the most of the space and weight allowed.
The added benefit is confidence in knowing you have invested in yourself and won’t be spending precious vacation time trying to make it all work. It already does.
Thank you for your guidance, insight and encouragement.
