I always stay at the 65th Hotel in Bacolod…it’s beautiful and there is Splash Park next door where you get a free day pass for the family.

Bacolod is a Metropolis in a laid back way of life..u can have almost all of the modern amenities and conveniences  of a metro but still enjoying a province- fresh air vibe life..People are not in a hurry..and Bacolod may not have tourist spots which glitters the eyes but surely knows how to give everyone a happy tummy..Good Foods are everywhere

Bacolod is a gateway to the rest of  negros occidental which has many scenic spots like mambucal in murcia , don salvador benedicto , silay , talisay , white sand beaches sipalay , cadiz , sagay , chasing waterfalls in la carlota , la castellana. Bacolod being the capital city has the convenience of malls , membership shopping , hotels & restaurants.bigger cities like manila , cebu are just 1hr plane ride ..

Bacolod has a much bigger population base than most people think.  It's not just the city of Bacolod itself, but Bago City to the South that is around 200,000, Silay to the North that was 130,000 in the 2020 census and Murcia to the East that is about 90,000.  It is a metro area of well over 1m.

I’ve lived in Bacolod for 4 years. I’m very happy here. I do wish beaches or fishing access were more available . We have wonderful places to visit a short drive away from the city. The hot springs at Mambukal resort are my favorite. I rent a small 2 bedroom house in a quiet subdivision 8k per month and that’s a little bit high.

Very timely, I’m heading there Friday for my assessment (from Iloilo).

We bought a condo in the Upper East. Area designed so electric wires are underground.  Wide roads, sidewalks, security, nightlife, restaurants, and you don't need a car. It's a bubble and more expensive than most areas of the city: but it's Negros BGC (in the early stages)  Mark from DC
