I'm 61, been riding since 1980, I've owned over 50 bikes, including dirt bikes. I still ride a lot, I have 9 bikes in my garage, my latest edition, a Royal Enfield classic 500.

Eurotek has a super meteor 650 at the moment, but that Guzzi is far more special. I'm confident both would live happily together in your garage!

    You're a great story teller!
I've lived in LA all my life, riding since 2001 when I was like 21.

My first was a 2000 Yamaha V-Star Classic, then sold it and got me a burgman 400 maxi scooter, got tired of ppl calling it a "Moped" 😂 and sold it to a 62yo lady who wanted to check riding out of her to do list .
The. Got me a 2010 Triumph Bonneville, that bike was sweet!
But I wanted a more comfortable ride since I wanted it for commuting so I sold it and got a 2015 Suzuki Vstrim 650ABS, super nice bike and the ABS saved me from several morons crossing double continuous yellow line into the carpool in LA . (Got a vid of that in my Chanel) and I still riding that Vstrom today, man this bike is awesome! I'm settled now. 😂. But don't get me wrong!!
I've had an itch for the SR400 since 2016 also! And I just might get it even if brand new!

I started riding in 1965 on a Bianchi scooter. I have been through a variety of bikes and now have a Moto Guzzi V7 850. Being quite elderly I will probably end my riding career on a Vespa. Great story, enjoyed every minute of it which I didn't expect. Thanks.

Nice story Bob. Every once in a while I think (just for a minute or so) about replacing my 2016 V7II Special. But the Guzzi is so cool and quite unique. Like me, I'm sure you don't want to go back to chain maintenance either.

Hi Bob , riding keeps us fit, I was 11/12 when I first rode a motorcycle, I couldn’t start it, 500cc , I passed my test a few weeks after my 17 birthday,
I am now 74 years young, and still riding HD DEUCE 1550,

Fascinating account of your very eclectic fleet of motorcycles. Qingdao has changed since I was there with the Canadian Navy in 1988. At that time, the biggest building in town was the old Lutheran church (from German colonial days), and one only saw a few scooters (I witnessed a scooter accident) and bicycles, and some trucks. I see from your video that the new mandated uniform e-scooter design is proliferating.

I had a motorcycle before I got a car. I purchased a VT500 Ascot in the mid-1980s. Except for the small tank, limited range to 120 miles, it was surprisingly fast, comfortable, and handled extremely well. Its unique part was the 3-valve V-twin engine. And the bike had a shaft-drive. Believe it or not. I also regret selling it. My first bike was the XL250.
