A friend of mine once (just once, but what he said made a lasting impression) commented, "Comparisons sure feel good, don't they!" That observation was, itself, meant to be a kind of put-down, but I believe he was correct about comparisons. It's a lot like that Bertrand Russell quote: "I am firm; you are obstinate; he is just a pig-headed fool." Always the same action or attitude, couched in different terms depending on who's being described.
And humans do do this.

My first impression of you was, "The guy's a great dresser!" And I did wonder whether your clothing is strictly bespoke in the strictest traditional use of that term among clothing producers, or customized, or whether your clothing source has a superb tailor doing alterations.

1:23 I disagree. (You could have some desease, but … )
You know it’s unhealthy and yet you chose to eat too much.
It’s tells me that you’re either greedy or lack some backbone.

This is great information. I'd appreciate a follow up to this video for those of us who do the best with what we have yet still find ourselves judged negatively. I'm an educated person, friendly and articulate and dress appropriately for situations, however I lost a tooth in my smile line recently (beware killer dumplings) and it will require almost a year before it can be fully repaired. I've noticed a measurable decline in business opportunities since this occurred. At first I set aside my self consciousness, trusting that my personality and expertise were enough, but the numbers tell a different story. Any thoughts or suggestions on presentation techniques that minimize or address this? I'm a smiler, and one thing I have continued doing is to smile at people. 🙂

Your expertise aside, I’m really enjoying this type of content. An expert sharing his knowledge, in a calm tone, without annoying background, music, and special effects, popping up left and right. I’m chronically allergic to that and YouTube makes me tired sometimes. This however, is soothing. Thank you ❤

This is very interesting. I'm someone like you described in the video. I was brought up to always mind my appearance, to look proper and prim. I also danced ballet for years so without my intention I always look put together and have a posture. Random people address me as a "lady", my sister's nickname for me is "Princess Catherine" and I've been described in a game as "regal" and "like a queen" while wearing jeans. I've never tried to work on this but this video gave me some insight and it's never a bad thing to improve myself. Thank you, a wonderful video!
