In the nineties the Austrians got fat up with the noise of trucks resonating by the mountains. On a day the Austrian parlement passed a law which said that there was a limited to the number of decibels a truck could make. Technically that limit was possible, it was the limit of a DAF Truck at that time. Nowadays a DAF Truck still is a silent truck with the so-called PACCAR engine.

O mack E9 é uma parceria com a scania , aqui no Brasil trabalho com a linha 140 até 164 . Esse v8 usaram até em tanque de guerra . Fizeram preparação que chegava a 1000 cv . Nos tanques de guerra .

I’ve built many of these k-19, kta-19, and the ktta-19, and they are a great engine! When you throttle down on these you are opening up the whole can of W Ass!

I still have an r 700 with an E9 set at 525 done a lot of hard miles the fuel consumption is manageable as I'm generally loaded 60 ton all up it's doing about two k m to the litre
