Any channel that covers "Gaming News" on a daily basis is pretty much this type of channel you describe in this video.

This is so true. I learned a long time ago not to watch reviews or opinions on a game I'm interested in before I actually play it. If its a game I'm not sure of, I'll watch a gameplay trailer to find out if I like it, but thats about it. Listening to other's opinions and moods on things influences us, whether we like it or not. Its good to keep that in mind.

Its the same with movies and tv shows and anime.

I've been gaming for 20+ years and I've never really cared what reviews or the internet think. I own all AC and FC games and enjoyed pretty much all of them, despite the "UBISLOP" narrative.

I played Wolverine and honestly didn't notice half the "huge problems" people were screaming about on Instagram. I couldn't even watch a funny reel without seeing "WOLVERINE IS DOGSHIT" shoved into my face.
And let's be real: if you played Spider-Man, Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2, none of them were some profound masterpieces either. They're FUN games. Wolverine is the same. It's fun to fight hordes of enemies, jump around and beat the shit out of things. Not every game needs Elden Ring-level bosses or hardcore combat depth.

My 8-year-old platinumed Spider-Man 2 and still launches it just to swing around and fight enemies. That's literally the point.

Listen to reviews if you want, but make your own opinion. I swear you'll enjoy a LOT of games the internet told you were "dogshit."

Gaming influencers, they grab info from journalists and just repeat it, sometimes add nonsensical opinions and call it a day. They create nothing, they just make you feel like you belong cause they are "just gamers" but also they waste your time and most will probably never realize. Most 10 min videos could have been a tweet from most of these. Specially spawn wave

Its like when I was shopping for a GPU when prices skyrocketed. I was so depressed watching endless videos complaining about prices of new cards, I just spent the $1000 on a new card just so I didnt have to watch them anymore

Dang 21:00 mark is spot on. If they're swearing on camera, chances are they aren't worth listening to

I do this with movies. I’ll watch a trailer once and go from there. Makes movies way more enjoyable

I am probably watching more gaming content than playing because I got chores to do. I can't play while washing dishes and cleaning and looking after my daughter. But man, when I do get a moment to game, nobody can take me off it. Well... my wife can xD

I found your channel before I knew about ZenkaiGoose. To be fair, I prefer this layed back and raw type of videos over the high production. I am making high production and part of me wishes I did more raw videos. I love the fact that I can listen to your content and just do my daily chores. I need to sit down and consume a highly produced video. And quite frankly, I choose not to watch YT while on my PC.
