  Seeing what the Finns did to Soviets and how they left them frozen upside down and leaving their bodies strewn, it was more than likely just a warning or a scare tactic

  I don&apos;t think there&apos;s any real mystery to Flight 19 anymore. Basically, at the time Flight 19 &apos;lost its bearings&apos;, Lt. Taylor thought he was flying over the Keys and concluded he needed to fly east. But in actuality he was over the Bahamas the entire time and by flying east, he only led his flight further and further into the Atlantic. Radio triangulation backs this up too - several minutes before they probably ditched, their position had been triangulated to have always been east of Florida. They were never where Taylor thought they were.<br><br>In short, all of Taylor&apos;s attempts to take his flight east towards Florida only took them FURTHER from Florida on a flight to nowhere. The worst part is that he was doing all this (dooming 14 men including himself) despite attempts by land-based radio stations and even at least one of his own wingmen to try and correct Taylor&apos;s judgment. <br><br>Basically everybody there except Taylor knew the correct route to get home and yet he didn&apos;t listen to any of them. It&apos;s one of the most tragic stories of military incompetence and overconfidence yet people always try to twist it as some spooky haunted ghost Bermuda Triangle story, it&apos;s ridiculous and disrespectful. Aliens didn&apos;t kill those 14 men, bad leadersip did<br><br>LEMMINO did a great explanation on this theory and personally I was sold pretty convincingly.

  Fight 19... Omg I know this one, so I work as a Paramedic and had a long distance transfer down and was transferring an MP or engineer down on that base in Florida, (mind you this was about 5+ years ago and he used more colorful language) we got to talking and I remember what he told me about that guy leading that incident. &nbsp; He told me &quot;that guy was an idiot, and that no one was surprised that he got the whole squadron lost.&quot; &nbsp;Hand on the Bible truth

  For those saying Flight 19 was post war, to be fair, it actually took some time for all hostilities to finally peter out. For example, Sergeant Anthony Marchione was the last casualty to the air war of WW2 when rogue Japanese zeros attacked his B-32 Dominator doing recon duties (yes, very obscure plane, basically a B-29 competitor that just barely made it into the war before it was over). This was on August 19th, 4 days after the Japanese cease fire to prepare a formal surrender. The last German unit to surrender didn&apos;t surrender until September 3rd 1945. This was an 11 man garrison at a weather research station in Svalbard. They were just... Forgotten about in the collapse of Germany, and it took some time for them to reach out to Norway for a rescue. And then there&apos;s the cases of Japanese skirmishing in the South Pacific not knowing the war had ended, with the most famous and longest lasting case being Hiroo Onoda, who finally surrendered in 1974. He refused to surrender until the Japanese government actually contacted his old commander and had him inform him Japan did indeed lose the war.<br><br>We like to have convenient surrender days to mark the calendar with as a holiday, but reality is wars end kind of haphazardly. These men of flight 19 were probably still training as if it were wartime, just in case things flared up again, or worse, in case the war progressed into a war between the west and the Soviet Union (a very real possibility, that mostly didn&apos;t happen purely because of sheer war fatigue on both sides).

  Peenemunde was captured by the soviets. &nbsp;Then in 1946 Sweden kept seeing rockets flying through the sky. &nbsp;Why is this even a mystery?
