  I get so frustrated that the quality of everything is so bad nowadays that I feel the need to read reviews to check something won’t fall apart

  I desperately want to be able to go to stores and touch and feel things. And so many stores don’t carry things. I hate buying anything because it all feels like trash, it’s so awful.

  One of the issues now is that a lot of physical stores no longer carry certain items or are VERY limited to what they carry. I found in a lot of cases, if I wanted something specific I have been told, “It’s on our website and you can order it there, but we don’t carry in store”. It’s frustrating because sometimes you want to see it in person and try it out.

  I am not at all worried about what others think about the items I buy. My issue is that I want to buy things once and love them for a long time, so I do "research" online and try to buy the best value for money. It's exhausting. When I was a kid, my mom bought me a pillow and called it a day, and I slept great. Now buying a dang pillow is like trying to find the Holy Grail. I wish I had a solution to this craziness, but I know I will keep  wasting precious minutes of my life compulsively reading reviews about every product.

  This is the best video you’ve made. I can’t even fathom how many hours of my life I’ve spent searching for every single thing we purchase. Oftentimes I get so overwhelmed I end up buying nothing at all. Even when I shop IRL, I’ll still pull out my phones to google reviews or see if I can find it cheaper elsewhere. It’s exhausting!

  You know what’s funny? I needed a new trash can, and I couldn’t believe how expensive they were, and after a few searches I just gave up. This video is a great reminder that I still need one haha

  I got annoyed last night looking on Amazon because the nightlight I’ve had for like 15 years is dying. All the ones Amazon was trying to sell me had motion sensors and dusk to dawn sensors, had 6 different hues of light, different colors, timers. I had to refine my search a few times to find a simple plug-in with an on/off switch. I was complaining to my friend last night about how nightlights are over engineered!

  I’ve recently felt so refreshed by community talking to strangers at the Eye Dr and the Thrift Store. Five minute conversations about how long we’ve lived here, if we think we’ll stay, strategies to stay warm in the snow, related personal anecdotes, and someone trying to convince me how good I look in the skirt. We need our community contact!

  I’m canceling Amazon!!!!! &nbsp; &nbsp;It’s been so nice just driving to the store recently and just making a decision and buying it there. &nbsp;Getting it immediately and not having to return it after Amazon picks it wrong. &nbsp; I just want to go back to 2004

  This is fascinating because 1) I also recently ordered a trash can, and 2) I decided next year I&apos;m doing Christmas shopping in store to limit search options. <br>I did not think I would start my day with a 20 minute video on trash cans!
