Thank you for this side by side comparison showing the difference between generic painting and something with style. You earned a new subscriber

This is incredibly useful :) I am painting with gouache more often these days, and doing value studies helped me so much to make my paintings better and more realistic, because I could finally understand the light. In watercolour, that, combined with your 3-layer watercolour approach, really helped me improve my art! Thank you for sharing with us 💖

These side by side comparisons are most valuable! I really enjoy them and I find them to be very helpful to my understanding of how to achieve more interesting paintings. This type of lesson is the best! Thank you Nitin!

So first add a light layer, let it dry and then add a darker layer. I only have watercolour pencils, this looks like it needs paint to be really impressive. Thank you.

I drew before and after the tutorial, the second drawing is obviously better (though it took a lot longer too, because I needed to wait for paint to dry in between layers). Good tutorial, thanks

The hardest part is the waiting for it to dry. You are in the zone, and have to cut it for the piece to dry.
