  Sometimes Karl speeches are so deep it surprises me. On his monologue starts from <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAJOSix42bc&amp;t=1470">24:30</a> he actually offers an answer to a question that has been an argument point between philosophers in millenia. He basically just subscribed to the idea of George Berkeley who stated &quot;to be is to be perceived&quot; and the beauty of it that he doesn&apos;t know that. There was a quote about Karl that I don&apos;t remember the source. I think it was Ricky himself who said this about Karl somewhere: &quot;He is not an idiot. He is uneducated and has a different approach because of it.&quot;

  I am always so glad to hear other people say that they don&apos;t like parties and &apos;forced fun&apos; type situations, for the longest time I thought it was just me.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAJOSix42bc&amp;t=2386">39:46</a> - Karl does mean Bulgaria (developing country in SE Europe), not Belgravia (rich part of Central London). You could buy a decent house in Bulgaria for £100k, but houses in Belgravia cost £millions. He&apos;s wrong about it doubling in price in a year. Bulgaria&apos;s population is falling rapidly due to its very low birthrate &amp; high emigration, so there must be loads of empty houses there &amp; selling them for a large profit would be difficult.

  Worzel Gummidge was a kid&apos;s show in the 80s about a scarecrow.<br>&quot;I thought I was gonna be the new Palin&quot; Michael Palin, the guy from Monty Python who was the pet shop guy, the lumberjack singer, the Biggus Dickus guy with the speech impediment. He&apos;s also made a load of travel documentaries.

  The next season is his bucket list, 100 things to do before you die and he gets to pick off the list what he wants to do

  This is one example of when Karl says pretty offensive things , but out of ignorance. “You’ll never hear of a Chinese man who starved to death”. China had the worst famine in history. In the ‘50s after the Great Leap Forward there was a massive famine where between 20 and 40 million people starved to death.

  Karl can dance. He was into the 80&apos;s dancing scene with the body popping &amp; break dancing battles. He picks up on it fast &amp; his improvisation is impressive. You&apos;ll see soon enough

  Clip shows are usually bad episodes of a show, but the ones for An Idiot Abroad are more like a live action episode of The Ricky Gervais Show so they&apos;re really strong.
