  Honestly, part of why I love the Mimic is simply that <i><b>he&apos;s the perfect inverted foil to Purple Guy.</b></i><b></b> William Afton was a <i>flesh-and-blood</i> human being, but he was seemingly <i>just an evil bastard</i> even before he starting offing people, and becoming the undead entity Springtrap just showed who he <i>really</i> was. The Mimic, meanwhile, is ironically far more human due to actually being a child who learned hatred from his &quot;father&quot; and returned it in every creative way it could; the Mimic technically didn&apos;t even <i>&quot;go rogue&quot;,</i> it just followed its programming of mimicking things... and <i>Edwin</i> made that include <i>&quot;hurting people because I&apos;m angry&quot;.</i>

  The most somber thing about the Mimic is that despite how it was broken from the start, it still has the power to be turned to good. It’s programmed and designed to mimic viewed behavior, and despite its all consuming rage this programming is still active. <br><br>All it needs is to be shown the kindness and care it never got, which maybe after long enough it would begin to copy it and take that aspect into itself.

  What I love about M2 is how his personality shines the most when he takes the words of another and inverts the context.<br>Edwin&apos;s final log is possibly the rawest audio we get from this franchise for this exact reason because much like it observed Edwin building machines to fashion itself a new arm and leg after being broken, it&apos;s recontextualising his creator&apos;s negligence and tormenting him with it. That isn&apos;t just a simple feedback loop, that&apos;s clear intent.<br>And I love that, because it showcases the bitter and broken child within the Mimic while never deviating from its function.<br>Same with how much visceral rage it shows in Ruin when Cassie says it&apos;s not Gregory, because the last time it was accused of not being someone it was met with unrelenting violence, visibly shrinking back before its anger takes hold.<br>It&apos;s the soul in something that was meant to be soulless, with F10 N4 being the mirror to show how even if it succeeded it would&apos;ve given rise to something equally dangerous.

  also, when edwin murray reveals his name, he says &quot;my name is edwin&quot; but then he also says &quot;I made the mimic&quot; implying he&apos;s the creator of the mimic.<br>not only that, he also adds to it &quot;it was difficult to put the pieces together&quot; which means constructing the mimic was difficult, but the last and not the least, he says &quot;but unfortunately, something went so wrong&quot; which means the mimic turned evil, this is literally genius and the mimic is a great, well-written villain

  What I love about The Mimic, is that he is his own character. &nbsp;He doesn&apos;t have his own voice, nor does he have an identity. &nbsp;He just copies what he sees, and just uses it to his advantage. &nbsp;In terms of evil, William is no doubt worse than The Mimic.<br><br>The Mimic just has a non-specific AI, and like any good AI, it follows its programming. &nbsp;William has done so many bad things throughout Fnaf&apos;s story, and SOTM just further supports it, and it shows that he was horrible even before he did all the other stuff we knew he did.<br><br>The Mimic isn&apos;t just a cool new villain for Fnaf, he serves as a warning to what happens when you don&apos;t give an AI limits to its function. &nbsp;The Mimic program has no limits nor proper precautions to keep it in check, which resulted in what we have now. &nbsp;It&apos;s unclear to what will happen next, but Scott did confirm that the next game will be a 2 sequel to an already existing game (not a 3 sequel). &nbsp;Maybe a Security Breach 2? &nbsp;IDK<br><br>Overall, I do agree that The Mimic is a tragic villain, and I&apos;m curious to how we will defeat him or maybe fix him?

  It’s worth noting that M2 was supposed to be created solely for profit-making purposes, but it didn’t function properly, which left Edwin with ongoing doubts and problems because of it.<br>However, everything suggests that F10-N4 influenced M2 in some way, causing it to start imitating David, which greatly angered Edwin.<br>What makes it even more disturbing is that M2 was meant to be a perfect blank program, yet it failed and had identity issues from the very beginning, likely worsened by F10-N4 (and Edwin’s attack ultimately led to M2’s complete breakdown).

  One Thing i find funny about modern fnaf is that Somehow the Artificial being somehow manages to be a slightly better parent to david than William ever could to his own children 🥀
