This is exactly how my family ate during the sixties! No snacks, 3 good meals a day. 1 helping, no 2nds. Home-cooked meals. And we were all very slim.

We had a homemade dessert like pie or banana pudding, once a week, usually Sundays. Watermelon and homemade ice cream in the summer. Frosted cakes were only for special occasions, like birthdays.

Definitely, the only thing I can think of was the TV dinner towards the end, but we never really ate them in front of the TV. If we all didn’t smoke, we would all be living forever. I love the film. RFK needs to show this to everyone and get rid of all the junk and trash we eat.!

I loved this video! So hit home - as well as Into the 70’s for my family. Kids played outside . Didn’t snack Inbetween meals except an occasional water ice treat / popsicle during summer time and that was after dinner. We got most our foods from garden mom and dad planted and meats and eggs from gramps farm. Yes milk man came to our house eventually got that from a farmer down the road. This whole video was awesome to watch and brought back many memories!
