May I make a suggestion? Next time fill the holes in with filler, then sand and then stain. You won’t see the wood filler as much. Otherwise a great save on the cabinet. I wasn’t sure it could be saved.

Your craftsmanship is amazing. The only suggestion I’d make is maybe next time use the same wood species. Replacing beautiful walnut with cheap pine seemed like a disservice to this beautiful but simple old piece.

I love to watch scraping old paint and counting the colors that came before. I was sure it was an all metal cabinet!😮 carry on.😊
