  Most videos of people testing their get home bags are of just of them camping in the woods. You actually went the full distance & used your get home bag as it's intended: to get you to your intended destination. Awesome video, man!!

  Besides a pew pew, I’d carry mace for dogs. I’ve seen videos where they held up the person trying to walk through on public land even, until the owner of the dogs &nbsp;finally came out to save them. I’d carry a small lightweight tarp or poncho to throw over you, when it rains. I never thought about stopping at a friend’s place during the journey. Even a spare bicycle would be helpful as well.😊

  First, great job that you&apos;ve tested your system. I put my #1 emphasis on getting home fast. So, I travel as light as possible. That means speed. On my person is phone, pistola, mace, hand size binocular, map and small compass. In my pack is rain gear or cold &nbsp;weather cloths and poncho, mechanic gloves and protective glasses. No tent or hammock and no cook stove. I only carry walkable food and water. I do carry a water container with tablets and a boo boo kit. Other than that its a headlamp, a small radio and a small sitting mat. Im not camping, Im getting home. If I take breaks I sit on the small mat and if its raining I wear the rain jacket/pants and/or poncho.
