I tried to 100% Vintage Story but found Inner ̶p̶e̶a̶c̶e̶ Pies instead

  Hey folks, bit of an odd one with the sudden shift in priorities towards the end, canning this project was definitely on the cards but I decided it&apos;d be better to just see it through to an ending and put it out there, even if it wasn&apos;t necessarily the ending I had initially planned.<br><br>This video was recorded and edited over a very long time in bits and pieces, The first bits of recording were done about 6 months ago now, at which point I had this idea in my head that I could own all the vintage story nerds that comment &quot;Wen VS?&quot; on every single one of my videos by making an absolutely mammoth video that 100% completes the game, then they can&apos;t ask me to make more videos, since I already did it all... Somewhere around the 60 hour mark though I realized that this was an absolutely terrible mentality to take into a project, holding this weird antagonistic view of folks that are just excited and desperate to see more of their favourite game on the channel. And that therefore I probably don&apos;t need to do some dumb megaproject, I can just enjoy the game in my own way and make a story of it. (For the record I still think it&apos;s a little irritating to make repetitive off-topic comments on every one of my videos, I want to hear what you think about the thing I just made, but at the end of the day engagement is engagement and I should probably just be happy to get so much of it regardless of the topic.)<br><br>TL;DR - I set out with this crazy goal and simply decided along the way that it wasn&apos;t gonna happen, but that the story up to this point was still likely to be enjoyable to enough folk to be worth publishing, and I am reasonably excited to make something new with Turnip boy in a little while on 1.22 with some mods perhaps.

  I always boot up Vintage with the idea that I will conquer eldritch horrors and learn the secrets of the world&apos;s past... But I always end up making fields of grain and sitting on top of a hill, watching the sun set, and installing copious amounts of cozy and unecessary mods. Truly, the best things both in life and vintage story, are often the simplest.

  Sorry you felt forced to do this video Hazzor, but I really do appreciate your playing style in Vintage Story. Your original video was the reason I got the game and I now have over 200 hours in it (If not 3x more). I appreciate your story telling and I appreciate you.

  If you want a goal for any possible future of this world, might I recommend trying to reach The Cheese Age? No seriously, trying to get an ample supply of cheese is a task harder than getting through the resonance archive and the [REDACTED], trying to make a pair of night vision goggles or even steel! Getting the dairy producing animals, getting them to spawn more of them, milking them, making the wax....its all a pain in the ass!<br><br>As for mods, ProspectTogether is one I&apos;d recommend as it lets you see the chunk &apos;scanned&apos; by the prospecting pick in neat little demarcated boxes on your map. Expanded Foods 2.0 and Culinary Artillery are ones I&apos;d say to go for, if not for your being in hold by the Pie Lobby. BetterRuins could be a fun little thing to just happen to you, though the new ruins would only spawn in unexplored chunks.

  Finally, another vintage story video! These are absolute bangers, it&apos;s a shame there are so few popular youtubers playing this game, it really deserves more attention.

  Peak VS gameplay is &quot;This time I&apos;ll do the archive&quot; and building a cute homestead and just relaxing instead. My friend group played a modded game and we just built a tiny village together and taught a new player the ropes.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qsu-eX07fGY&amp;t=2334">38:54</a> i can understand my current playtrough is at the basically the same point and except for having iron armor and animals already but therefore no house… except if you wanne call a hobbit hole a house. It just takes a long time to get everything rolling in VS. Reaching iron age is allready huge before the first &nbsp;winter imo.

  As you&apos;re looking for mod suggestions, here&apos;s mine:<br>- <b>Butchering:</b> Expands on hunting and cutting up animals in a very immersive way.<br>- <b>Smithing Plus:</b> Allows you to actually repair your tools, and generally recycle a lot of metal.<br>- <b>Rust Bound Magic:</b> You wanted to &quot;explore the rust magic&quot; - this mod is basically a deep dive into that idea.
