I read Chris Martin and thought you were sitting down with the guy from Coldplay for a second 🤣. This is way cooler.

I’m getting older now. I’m 55 years old. I’ve been playing music since I was a baby. I’m a multi-instrumentalist. I play bass drums, guitar, keyboard piano I do recording producing engineering. Lately I’ve been thinking about retiring so I traded in some of my equipment for three Martin guitars. A custom shop 1937D 18 authentic. A herringbone D 28. Lastly, a D 35. Winding things down this is the way that I wanna go. Just me and an acoustic guitar is all that I need. So I’m gonna eventually take all of my equipment and turn them into Martin guitars.

Thank you for your show. I love it. I watch it quite often.
Thank you for having Chris Martin on the show. He’s a wonderful person.

I’d like to thank the Martin company for these beautiful guitars
And thank you guys

I've been lucky to own a few Martins, but I adore my 00-15M the most. It feels intimate, sounds great and does it all.
Thanks Chris.

What a treat! This is when Andertons is best, telling these great stories of the instrument makers we all adore! Thank you Mr.Lee!

So much gold in there. Didn't know Martin has a long standing ESOP, and that Chris's daughter is essentially guaranteed to maintain family ownership. I am glad for both of those things.

Amazing man and amazing history. I Love that he gets out there and makes the History of Martin live on. I pray that his daughter at least has a presence in the company and industry and remains owner even if it is ran by someone else. It's just really important to the brand I think, that there is still family at least behind the scenes as the face of C.F. Martin. Love the story of the method used to name her and to keep a C.F. Martin in existence at least for another generation. Much luck in your retirement Chris. We really appreciate the spreading of the History of the Martin Legacy. It's an amazing story to say the least. I just turned 65 and finally decided that I wanted to learn how to play a guitar. Because of the history and your family history, as well as the legacy of the instruments themselves, I have now bought four Martin Guitars but I still don't play. I start my lessons next week. I started out with the Martin LX1RE Little Martin, and have since purchased a Road series special like the StreetMaster. Found it used for a price I could not pass up on. That was last month. This month I purchased the new for 2026 Refreshed Road Series D13E Walnut but Just this week, I sent it back and upgraded to the DE Retro Plus Granadillo because I was not aware of a Retro Plus when I bought the D13E. I also learned that the DE Plus series I ordered was modeled after the D-28 Which is amazing but I also have a compassion for the popularity of the D-18 so I Also ordered the DE Retro Plus Mahogany version. For the money, I could have almost been able to buy an actual D-18 but I also wanted a D-28 and could not afford both, so this solved that problem. However, An ACTUAL D-18E is on my bucket list. One day before I die, I'll own one. :-) Maybe I'll even know how to play when that happens. lol

I have purchased many Martin Guitars since 1979. A great American company, guitar builder but most important Chris Martin a nice gentleman. I've had the fortune to meet him at NAMM in Anaheim and talk to him. A living American legend for the whole world.
