  I love that you use your covers over and over, I do the same 😀 It is crazy to me how many covers some ppl have, but we all have our own vices 😅thx for sharing, enjoy your day.

  I went through an audit of all the stationery I had last year. And it included many &apos;failures to launch&apos; notebooks. I will say I unloaded nearly 50 notebooks, countless pencils (including Blackwing volumes)! gently cutting out the one - five pages that were used. I wasnt a large consumer of washi, but i had accrued many rolls over the years, and washi kinda comes and goes (some being seasonal but you dont always want ot use the same seasonal pattern year after year)... so I did a couple of save the ones i knew i would use and loved, then did &apos;sample cards&apos; with a couple of wraps of the tape around plastic cards and donated them along with never used notebooks to little libraries around my neighbourhood. I have to say ... now i see other people doing the same (markers, pens, stickers, washi samples). With stickers, I now make sheets with the stickers that I know I am never going to use and keep the ones for myself in a sticker book.<br>Many went to friends and people in my art groups in the exchange bins. <br>I WOULD LOVE TO SAY ... my space seems lighter for this but ... IT REALLY DOESNT‽ that just goes to show how much stuff I had collected.

  I’m in this same thought process, and I appreciate hearing how you are working through it thoughtfully. The planner and stationery communities seem to be going headlong into buying the next creative tool, rather than using what tools you have to express your creativity and making a solution. I need to remember WHY I have these tools as tools for creative outlet, so I avoid filling my limited time with shopping for the next great thing.

  Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I currently have 5 fountain pen and they are already good enough for my use with different nib size. The video about fountain pen collection and ink collection is so tempting. No one talks about the pain for maintaining the fountain pen collection, Your video was a eye opener . I really don&apos;t need any more fountain pen ,ink and stickers 😅 .

  For me, when it comes to covers, I like swapping them out. Before I starting buying Hobonichis (over 15 years ago, omg) I bought several planners per year because I got bored of the exterior (and stopped opening the planner/it became part of the desk or whatever - my brain stopped registering that it was there). Or I had to customize the permanent cover all the time - which was a bother because I couldn’t go back to a previous design. I’m also the kind of person who switches bags every so often.

  Thank you for this video! it&apos;s a good reminder that everything you buy does come with the cost like you said (financial, storage, time). I also make my own covers, it&apos;s so much fun and holds more value too.☺️

  Haven’t watched to the end yet, but just wanted to say that I agree 100% on the covers! I have one cover for my Cousin that I felt in love with 3 years ago and it makes me happy every single time I open the Cousin 😊 I don’t need another cover, even though they can be very beautiful!

  I love your breakdown of all the things you are restricting yourself from buying and why, and I also like that you include what you give yourself permission to buy. We need more videos like this. I am doing the same thing with my stationery… I haven’t bought any new stickers, memos, or washi in a long time. I’ve even been giving them away as gifts because I had so much I couldn’t use it, but I also try to use as much as I possibly can in my journal spreads or at work. The things I give myself permission to buy are fountain pens and ink (because I have 2 Pilot Kakunos and cartridges, but I want to move on to TWSBI Eco and bottled ink) and I allow myself refills for adhesive tape, glue, photo paper and ink - things I use up often.<br><br>I love seeing videos that talk about being more intentional and having a few quality items that last a long time. Let’s just enjoy the hobby and what we have instead of letting FOMO consume us! 😂

  Big agree on the covers, I don&apos;t have a &quot;proper&quot; Hobonichi cover yet and am still waiting for one that I <i>really</i> like. And once I get one I&apos;ll probably just use it all the time.

  Amen! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, because this is kind of what we all go through. I am quite certain. I know that I do. I have my regrets and I have things that I will never buy again. And like you, I have way too many fountain pens., said no one ever right, but I do. And it&apos;s a problem.&apos;cause you can only use. Two or three at a time. And I do carry my favorites with me. But anyway, thank you for giving us the strength to say no! Love your video.

  I needed to see this video today. I have been cleaning out so much stationary I have become so overwhelmed. And yes I found so many empty journals and books that I was supposed to turn into journals. OMG! &nbsp;Pens and more pens! I went crazy buying so many I will never use all of them before I die! This has to stop! You came on just as I was about to sign up for the sticker kit at Archer and Olive. No way! I can’t keep this up. So thank you for this video.😍
