  In these scenarios, I don't think blocking them would be a good idea at all. They see you blocked them, they'll get angry, then they'll try to find other methods of talking to you, or get to you. Muting their messages is probably the best idea if you don't want to be constantly bombarded by the messages, they'll probably think you're either reading the messages and not replying or just ignoring it outright. Which probably delays that dark souls boss enraged countdown a bit further for you to protect yourself.

  Craziest message I ever had was a guy saying he thought I was really pretty and wanted to get to know me and I told him I was taken I didn’t block him immediately because I was at work I just closed the chat and moved on then hours later when I come back he had sent a string of texts saying that I missed out and that he was super hot and even said “I guess you’re just in your wh*re phase” as if me being taken and wanting to be loyal makes me a wh*re then even sent a voice message saying he was a great guy and that he likely had more money than my boyfriend and that he was an engineer and ended it with saying my boyfriend was “probably black anyways” then he blocked me before I could ever respond it was actually hilarious my boyfriend and I quote him as an inside joke often and he doesn’t even know
