  Hi :) I&apos;m Nausicaa. Thanks for the very complete, and fascinating video about my dad. Just a little complaint 😅 The picture at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWaCsteIYig&amp;t=2944">49:04</a> is definitely not my mother Isabelle at all hahahaha ! And his first wife&apos;s name is Claudine (not Caroline). Otherwise, bravo !

  My favorite Stan Lee story is that when he went to work with Moebius on what would become Silver Surfer Parable, he was terrified and nervous because he was going to be working with the Moebius only to learn that Moebius was the same way with working with Stan Lee.

  As a professional comic artist working on the Moebius tree of artist (love Darrow and Quitely too) and owner of a few Moebius originals, I tell everyone “Moebius’s imagination is so vast that he holds your imagination within his.” You nailed this video, brotha, without The Long Tomorrow we’d still have windup toasters for robots. People often challenge me on Moebius’s significance because he doesn’t have an Avengers or easily consumable pop culture property for the masses, but he defined a whole aesthetic, many aesthetics, and he forever changed art in a way that is still compounding and will be unquantifiable by the time the universe ends. He was a prophet with a pencil. Wonderful video (as always).

  I remember the first time I was introduced to Moebius someone referred to him as &quot;Your favorite artist&apos;s favorite artist&quot;.<br><br>He quickly became my favorite artist too. The Incal, The Edena Cycle, The Airtight Garage, Arzach... they fundamentally changed how I approach drawing, storytelling, everything about comics. His ability to draw in multiple styles within the same story and seamlessly blend it all was incredible.

  I believe that if he had recognized the Japanese animation industry twenty years earlier, the French animation scene might have experienced an extraordinary development.<br>He disliked Disney’s factory-like production system, but Japan’s approach was closer to the European workshop style, and he said that in such an environment he might have been able to work himself.<br>Moebius gave something irreplaceable to both the world and Japan, yet the world was not able to respond to it fully.

  Although Jijé here is roughly passed over in haste, by 1957 he was a local Belgian legend, who has had an impact similar to Tintin creator Hergé, and later Moebius himself. Together with the three younger talented apprentices André Franquin, Morris and Will, he helped turn the children&apos;s magazine Spirou from a cheap magazine with mostly imported American comics into a post-war institution that deeply influenced the development of the whole scene. They created the lively Marcinelle school by mixing Hergés Ligne Claire with the fluid Disney style, and Jijé was the front person for a more vivid, realistic style inspired by Milton Caniff. (Caniff also had a wide global impact emanating from Jijé and Italian-Argentinian disciple Hugo Pratt...)
