  The scene were he meets lily was probably the only time in the movies we saw Snape with a genuine smile that came from happiness.

  To those who don&apos;t know, after the second movie, Alan Rickman considered quitting the franchise because he felt that Snape had no character development. But J. K. Rowling thought that he was just too perfect and didn&apos;t want him to leave. So, because of this, she decided to reveal Snape&apos;s love for Lily before anyone else knew. This is why Alan stayed. And you can tell he put real emotion into the character in this. He did such a great job.

  The absolute betrayal Harry must’ve felt here. The man he trusted blindly and without question and looked up to his entire life treated him like a sacrificial lamb. Meanwhile the man Harry despised his entire life had been soundlessly and thanklessly protecting him and even despite his contempt for Harry was horrified hearing what Dumbledore planned for him
