  Personally as someone who is a prod from North Ireland who has started learning Gaeilge (Irish) I would love to see tourists try to speak the language as long as they are respectful about it

  When crossing roads don't just look right because it tells you too.  Always look right AND left.  You never know when an American tourist is driving in the wrong direction!!!  😀

  As much as I love my city (London), I went to Galway almost 18 years ago to meet my girlfriend's family, never bothered leaving. Best place in the world!

  I normally can't eat breakfast in America, it makes me feel sick but I ate Irish Breakfast every day and felt amazing! The meat is local and everything is grown locally

  I am from Italy but Ireland is my favourite country in Europe. Such fun and beautiful friendly people.

  We don't really 'hate' England. Sure we've a complicated history but most of us have English friends or family or might have worked there at some point. We just like to take the mick occasionally. The English are our second largest immigrant group here and are very welcome.

  Biggest regret in my last trip to Ireland was spending too many days in Dublin. The trip was so much better and affordable when we went to Donegal

  The only thing we expect tourists to know is (the republic of) Ireland is an independent country, not part of the UK, we dont have a king or use UK pounds. Its not a phase or a technically and saying &quot;um actually&quot; until people get sick of talking to you doesnt change that fact. Its been that way for 100 years so if you&apos;re over 100 we&apos;ll cut you some slack otherwise we&apos;ll asume you&apos;re a troll who forgot they&apos;re not on the internet.<br><br>But we don&apos;t generally hate English people and a lot of Irish people wear Man U or Liverpool shirts.
