  Ah, the memories of this game.  As a Bears fan, in 1990, I thought the Bears would walk right over the Broncos this game.  I mean this was a lousy season for Denver, 5-11, the defending AFC Champions.  What I remember about this season, 1990, was the Bears rebounding after 1989.  Man, I was alone in out house in Illinois.  My elder and younger brother had abandoned the Bears for other teams by this time.  My two brothers were dancing on the Bears' grave when Kevin Butler missed that field goal at the end of regulation.  They did a lot of dancing on the Bears' grave that year, when the Bears had a couple of narrow wins.  The win over Detroit, in overtime two weeks later was one.  When Kevin Butler converted that field goal in overtime, the celebration I unleashed on my brothers. The fight that followed.  All because we had an aunt and cousin living in Aurora, Colorado at the time.  Telling me I was betraying them by cheering against the Broncos.  This was a great win for the Chicago Bears.  Kevin Butler for the NFL Hall of Fame.  Clutch kicker!

  being a Broncos fan, this made me sad but it was an honor whenever Pat Summerall and John Madden did a Broncos game. Charlie Jones, Dick Enberg and Don Criqui were all legends as well but it was special when the best NFC announcers called AFC games in those days :) I respect the Bears!

  I listened to this one on the radio.  A Bears fan from all the way in Honolulu, Hawaii!

  I remember this game as a 9 year old kid. Bears vs Broncos, it was the late game on KOLR-10 TV in Springfield, Missouri. I skipped my Homework getting done, to watch this game. The Broncos had Elway, and the Bears had several from that 85 Super Bowl Team, especially on Defense. Great Matchup, and the hype didn't disappoint with this game. Awesome Game and a Good result for Da Bears. Love those Chicago Bears from Missouri. Keep these game coming, Beau Bear. I Love them, as a Football Fan and a Bears Fan!!!

  God bless you Ron Rivera :) I was a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints missionary in Tucson and El Paso so I had lots of Latinos/Latinas to love and serve. I had no idea he did this at the time.

  Posting this cpl days before chi plays @den, as a chi fan I always look fwd to these visits, each time there chi has played em tough, thankfully in this one they came thru unlike ‘87, a game included on the list of losses in the most miserable yr of reeves-elway
